In 2022, our founder set out to learn how to craft diaphragm turkey calls and committed to taking a bird with one he built himself.

After many attempts, he finally created a call that performed exceptionally in the turkey woods. Over the next couple of years, our founder took numerous hunters into the field, and many asked him to make calls for them after hearing the quality and realism of his work.

In the summer of 2025, our founder’s 14-year-old son, Bear, approached him with the idea of starting his own business—bringing Appalachian Game Calls to life with a mission to deliver top-quality, American-made calls.
